loud humming ,vibrating noise from left kick panel and and car stops dead

have a problem with my vt , i get a loud humming vibrating noise somewhere near the left kick panel,at first thought it was my speakers ,until the car stoped on a major road and wouldnt start again for bout ten minutes , i have been having heaps of problems before hand with the car not starting ,but it would by jumping the starter relay, the dash cluster lights go of and on but the abs has been replaced ,has anyone had a ecu gone bad and had similar problems

G'day your ecu is in the bottom left hand kick panel it's only held with clips easy to take off. See if your noise is coming from your ecu. Do you know anyone with the same car and try there as they all plug in or try a wrecker or eBay.

It actually is, just get some clips and purchase them for like 2bucks. so you can walk out with the ecu

Computers from wreckers aren't usually too dear anyway so just pay for it instead of being a thief.
