Default What stall converter do i have?

    Hi there,

I bought a fully built 3spd trimatic from a 6cyl, for my RB30 dohc turbo.
He gave me this stall converter and he told me it is a 6000rpm one!
Does anybody knows what is it so i can buy a lower stall converter? :P

    Thank you.

can you get a tape measure and measure the width. if its around stock itll be 11 inches. (i think) a 3000rpm is around 9inches and they get smaller for the higher you go.

thats just all guesses though, cos it depends on what sort of impellers are inside them and how much they pump.

edit* i tell ya what though. i would be willing to throw you a couple of hundred for that converter

i will swap you my 2500 converter for that converter and chuck in 100 bucks if it measures 9 inches. my converter is too big for my cam.

op THE ONLY WAY TO TELL THE STALL IS TO FIT IT AND TRY IT OUT

    Thank you for answering!
The converter is a 9" one. It fits very tight to the bellhousing.
I don't think the 11" would fit.. sorry..
He said to me it is a 6000rpm one? Is that possible?
I think i will give it a try and fit it to see.
What do you think about the 6 bolt pattern???

6 bolt could either be for 2 different pattern flywheels or 6 bolt flywheel for special conversion IE rb30 did it come with adaptor plate to fit RB engine or modified bellhousing

Oh another question, is there any possibility anyone knows what converter can i put in?
A 6cyl one? Are they 9 inches? the distance between hole to hole(bolt to bolt) is 18,7 cm.
