    Passenger side of motor, size is cast in the block. Look from underneath the car.

    Shouldn't need to look from underneath. It should be pretty easy to spot with the aid of a torch.

    it would be right there behind the alternator or check the engine number if it starts with 'QL' its a 202

    im pretty sure the vb red motors had capacity in litres cast into the block, not cubic inchs as like the early motors

    Mine had '202'. Original motor. It was an early one though, built October 1978. Maybe the later ones had that.

    Edit: But the air cleaner had "GMH 3300" on it.

    By memory it should have either 3.3 being a 202 or 2.8 being 186 on the side of the block behind alternator. its not that hard to find.

    Just for anyone interested. These are the standard sizes for the Holden designed sixes
    3.3 = 202, 3.0 = 186, 2.93 = 179, 2.85 = 173, 2.63 = 161, 2.44 = 149,
    2.25 = 138, 2.15 = 131

    ci x 16.387 064 069 = cc or cc/16.387064069 = ci
    Some blue motors were marked in CC others in CI but all (original) black motors were in CC (expressed in litres ie 3.3).

    3.0 is a 186. Starfire = 115ci (1900cc)
