Default VL Turbo - What Now?

Ok, I have recently aquired a VLT Calais (manual) that has just recieved a rebuild to the engine and the turbo. It already has an intercooler and a blow off valve (that shall be going asap....)

I would like to eventually push around 200rwkw.

What sort of build path do you suggest I follow?

I really do not know a lot about VL's and not much more about turbo's.

Anyway, any help and/or suggestions would be much appreciated.

You can do whatever you like, as long as you don't put inters on it.

i'd suggest you look on the turbo calais web site. i don't think that 200rwkw should be that difficult from a VL turbo. is it a stock rebuild and stock turbo?

high flow turbo, 3 inch exhaust from turbo back, boost controler, 14psi (get boost done on a dyno) and should get close to 200rwkw in a manual

Lol everyone says the calaisturbo site... but i like jc

ummm, the turbo was rebuilt to stock i believe but i was told that the engine was strengthend (better pistons, balanced crankshaft, block rebored/honed... that sort of thing.... not terribly sure of the details too much lol. the receipts were kinda annoying to read lol)

basic rule for turbos is more boost less compression, so if your gonna increase your boost your best of reducing your compression

just a bigger turbo with decent exhaust and intercooler should see you hit 200rwkw as long as the CR is suitable as mentioned above. i think guess are getting close to those numbers on almost stock bottom ends so with a rebuild it should be sweet, could probably handle more
