    rb25 stock turbo = 100% epa friendly
rb30 non turbo converted to turbo = 0% epa friendly.

I reckon the laws are bendy enough to allow a turbo on a NA RB30 to be legal if everythings stock, since it's a factory option, same deal as bigger wheels and bigger brakes really, factory cams and manifold options are legal

It would be easier and cheaper to turbo the N/A high compression RB30 motor. I think you have to upgrade the brakes to VL turbo or better for it too be road worthy.

    I'd go with the RB25.

here we install the RB on everything, (Camaro, Laural, Supra, Cefiro ... etc)

if you want it as a daily driver, get the RB25DE (non turbo) very strong, never breaks down ...

why would you stick a RB25 in a supra :P thats the biggest downgrade ever

    stick a 2jz in it :P

once you turbo your RB30E you will be 2 kebabs away from hektic!

    Rb25/30.

    Do it!

Otherwise I'd just convert the 30, you won't destroy it if you're smart about things.

the Supra engine 2jz-gte is good and strong ... but not reliable

    they never sustain the heat,

the RB25 is a beast!, rarely break down, doesn't need much care (oil,coolant..)

and if you upgrade a few internal components, you will be able to stick a bigger turbo ....
