OTHER INFO: I want it to be drivable but does not have to be road worthy or registered. This will be a project car, just a cheap V8 Commodore, so nothing special. As long as the engine and transmission are ok and rust is to the minimum i'll be happy. Really as long as it has a V8 in it i'll consider it.

At the risk of making you feel bad, we just bought a 308 4 speed VL BT1 HDT mock up with Calais front and interior for $1700, so there are cheap V8's out there. Good luck with your search.

Pics (you can email them if thats best), How far do i have to drive to get it. And when you say new trans, do you mean its in really bad condition or its just not gonna run. EDIT also is it a 4.2 or 5.0 litre
my ss might b a bit much but if u can stretch ur budget to 8-9 k
