i recently sent a rear bar using aus post. they do have dimension restrictions, which the bar went over, but the way i packaged it, it was ok, they just went by weight. it was a vr hsv bar, so i split it into two packages.
if you wrap side skirts in bubble wrap, then some kind of wrapping, auspost should send it. possibly send it as two packages, if they are genuines and can be split into pieces.

thats what I was thinking.....as the skirts r in 2 pieces it would cut down the length, wrap in bubble wrap then wrap again in cardboard then duct tape it

They said it was the length. But if stocky sent a rear bar, the middle piece of the bar is longer than the front skirt, so they must allow it.

I stuffed up and forgot to take pics tonight and I had to shuffle some cars around so it's a little bit inaccessible at the moment. I'll be moving it again on Saturday morning so I can take some then.

Australia Post limits parcels to a length of 105cm so I'll measure them. Sometimes they'll let you sneak a little bit longer through. I know my local Post Office guy quite well (I sell lots on ebay) so I might have some luck.
