    I have had mine for many years. I love it to death. It helps with any modification to see if a gain has occurred, plus just using it on your mates cars is alot better than trying to race them unless you have a racetrack around the corner

    Check out the graphs etc that you can do. They are awesome to compare different runs;

    the 4.9 second challenge

    Here is a link to ebay. $400 is well worth it. I woudn't be without one now that I know how good they are;

    I have already put the Iphone to the test against the Gtech. It was my mates Iphone. It obviously isn't designed like the Gtech but the Iphone is a fun tool to use. The accuracy compared to the Gtech was not the best, but it is fun to use if you have an Iphone and don't want to spend money on a Gtech.

    Many years ago I took the Gtech to the dragstrip and did the 1/4 mile with it and compared the Kwinana Motorplex Dragstrip Clocks against the Gtech and I can tell you that the difference was very small. I would recommend the Gtech anytime over anything else. If you want the accuracy and the ability to get repeatable accurate results, then Gtech is only option. If you want a guide to your cars performance and to have some fun, then try a phone like and Iphone or blackberry.

    Cheers
    Matt

    When I did the Gtech testing at the Kwinana Motorplex a few years ago, the 1/4 mile times were consistently within a tenth of a second. With regards to horsepower readout, well unfortunately this is no substitute for a dyno. You need to know your vehicle weight exactly, because if you guess, then the hp reading will not be accurate. And the hp reading works on a number of factors including G's (g-force) pulled through the run. If you have alot of wheelspin or any at all, this will reduce the hp reading.

    I would recommend for the 1/4mile, 400m readouts, and the timing increments like 40-120 etc as you can see on my graph etc. I wouldn't recommend its accuracy for horsepower readout as there is too many variables.

    There are many other features that show the G's through the run, so you can compare what section of the run that you lost traction, or when your car pulled the most G's etc.

    Very reliable, accurate and full featured little machine that is alot of fun to use and compare runs.
