OTHER INFO: so if you know of a car sitting in a paddock that still has its black and whites on it, or you have a set in the garage and want to do something with them, sell them to meit doesnt matter what the numbers/letters say or the condition as i can get vicroads to re-issue them, but for my chevy they are a MUST. been looking at personalised and i dont think they will suit. willing to pay a reasonable amount, but remember that i will need to pay a 250 dollar re-issuing fee, so be realistic with your price pls.
thanks
I guess SA ones wont be any help to you?

once the plates have been issued they are removed from the system, then they run through the same numbers again, i.e. abc-123 with different coloured text. we had black, then green and are now on blue. the only way to get them is to find an old set and get them re-issued.
where/what is shannons? apart from an insurance agency.
edit* email sent to shannons auctions. thanks for the idea, will see what they come back with
