I read somewhere (not sure what state it was though) that a spare wheel is not compulsory but if you do have one it is compulsory to have it clamped down securely. Maybe in VIC?

Anyway I don't want to take the chance to fail just because I didn't have a spare, its not cheap. VIV isn't just a quick look over the car from what I have heard. They use lasers to measure all different parts of the car, length, width, height, track ect. They need to have to car for around 6 hours to fully inspect it, Also as the damage was in the rear and the wheel well had a kink they will be looking there for sure.

I went to 2 close by, one wanted $50 and the other said to come back later when the boss is back (useless). Might try Lonsdale if I don't find anything soon.

Sounds good but a little far, Ill keep it in mind if there is nothing at Lonsdale or if they are too expensive.
