VNs are fine, has a real torquey engine, great for having fun and it sounds beautiful but im over the fact that the guage seems to be reading hot randomly when its not,and not being able to find out why,its just pissing me off,not to mention the ecotec in the VS would be waaayyyy better for fuel these days, more power, just chasing the better car really...

fix it. Always fix the car you have if the cost isn't almost at the value of buying a low killomoters newer car. At least if you fix it you still know about the car you ow, it's history and what it is likely to need in the future, if you swap with someone you might get some muppets car that has a punched out cat and has been running an ebay power chip 25c resistor with no thermostat "Ta keep it kool bruz"

Ity may catch fire a week after the swap :P

The temp guage from memory on the VN has a single wire sensor, replace the sensor and see if that fixes the issue. does it read hot the second you start the car first thing in the morning?

As for fuel economy just put your VN on gas, make sure you rape the goverment for some rebate too if they are still doing it.
