wtb/trade: vn v6 metal rocker covers.

ITEM: wanting metal rocker covers off a vn v6, polished or unpolished, breather hole filled or not.

LOCATION: vic, melb metro

CONDITION: new or used, i have spare gaskets, so they don't need to be included.

DELIVERY/PICK UP INFORMATION: preferably pickup from metro area. failing that could be brought to vic dyno day.

PAYMENT OPTIONS: cash or trade for other parts i've got.
-spare passenger side headlight (crappy reflector tho)
-the 2x12 sub box that is pictured below (subs not included)
-a boot carpet to suit a vp (maybe vn too)
-the bottom half of an airbox (that's all i can think of now)

i know the stuff i got for trade is fairly crap, but i'll pay cash instead if need be.

saw some on ebay 2day for the vn for $150

and i saw supercheap have em for $200, didn't think they'd be that dear, i'll keep an eye on wreckers, but anyone out there hit me up if you got some.

u mean the finned ones or stock vn s1 aluminum covers?

coz the finned ones use a different cork gasket to the stock ones.

just a fyi there

and i havent seen anyone selling metal ones, but have seen people mention them, are they pressed metal ones like most v8 ones? or just saying metal instead of aluminum? can someone point me in the direction of pressed metal ones if thats what they are talking about?

yeah i saw the finned ones, wasn't too impressed. i'm after the stock VN ones. i have a rubber gasket that i bought before i took my vp covers off a while back, but didn't need.


don't know if they're pressed alluminium or what.

just out of interest did you get any of the stock alu ones from a wrecker? how much did it set you back?

i wanna spiffy up the engine bay, but bugger paying 150 to do it.

one set were on the vn i got now(pulled em off to put finned on), other were on the project wagon, and i had another set i got off a motor i bought, but i sold em to iblown

i have pollish aloy series 1 covers. i meant the ones in the pictures above..

hehehe, good luck finding the "holden" ones defa, when i ordered mine in 05 i think it was, they were the last ones in any holden dealership available.

you can get the "v6" ones from kilkenny tho, ("holden" ones were made from kilkenny too, but they dont make em now)

and if you're lucky, the odd set pops up on ebay, just gotta catch em.

it wouldn't worry me if it said v6. really i would rather it. i might aswell stick with my pollish aloy ones for now.. my engine bay looks crap anyways..
