WTB: Car for $1500 or under, has to be running and able to get reg'd easily!

Hey eveyrone, im looking for a car for a friend,
He wants to spend no more then say $1500, give or take depending on what is on offer.

Figured why not ask everyone here!

Just has to be running and at least "semi" reliable!

I have a friend with a registered camira for about $600 if i remember right.

JD 1.8 auto in a deliciously ugly green.

I have a 1980 daihatsu charade, im about to rebuild the top end, but would be chasing 500 bux once thats done. The whole car looks very clean, would need a new tailgate but thats it. Otherwise its an extremly clean car for its age. its a 34 litre tank and the guy i bought it off recons he got over 500 k's a tank.

Dads vn.. 170k's, on gas, good interior, reliable as, near new tyres, new windscreen, 2.5" headers back exhaust, tank is in date, uses a little water n needs new pads.. 6 months reg too..

well my daughter has a TM mitsubishi magna,i can put on some commodore badges if ya like,new tyres and battery only needs a new rack boot for road wotrthy i think
