Holdens usually want a build number before they part with anything HSV.

Yeh whenever i buy a specific HSV part I have to give VIN, else they wont sell it to me.

Some parts are copyrighted etc so if people are caught selling them to non owners they can be in alot of ****.

I know of someone who was after something, walked in, got a Vin off a car on the showroom floor, and bought what he was after. Done haha!
