also known as SS fog lights, they go for at least $300 for a genuine 2nd pair and you go to holden for the bezels that sell for uhh i think around $50 for the pair?

..you could always go down to Super Cheap auto which sells a pair of lights very similar to the SS/Calais, although when you instal them there will be a gap inbetween the lens of the light and the bezel. $30 for a pair

You either got very very lucky or your Holden dealer is a hoarder. I would check them for being origional when you get them. Holden have not had these on their books for at least 4 years. The reason why there so dear is that they are not easy to get hold off. $350 is a good price.

I went to GMH to get some Dash Bulbs
The one for the Climate Control was the last one in Australia
They told me that a lot of parts need to build a new Holden they are out of as Holden cant get anyone to make the part for their price
I think GMH are tooooooo tight to get more fog lights made
Surely someone else can get some made in India etc like GMH
If i cant get one for a decent price i will put a dolfin torch there

bezels are around $35 a pair new from holden.

There are still foggies available, its just difficult to find a dealer that stocks them or is willing to order them from another one.

I bought mine new genuine from PM's campelfield about 3 months back.

VT ss/ vx calais lenses are the same but the brackets are different

vx ss are completely different. As far as i know the vt ss vx calais lenses are the same. I've seen them used on a vr ss that had broken foglights.

I'm sure with the right combinations of brackets and spacers any fog light could be used behind the Bezel as the light attaches to the bumper reo bar not the plastic part.

    As previously mentioned
    VR-VS slanted type & there is a left & right lense/Base
VT ones, are for VT, not VR-VS
Note: I have a left hand base with cracked lense if anyone is after the base only.
And Ebay is not the only place to find them, Ring some of the larger wreckers in most states, who are coonected to the "hotline" and you will most probably find one, or both of them.
I watched Ebay for months and then rang big wreckers in each state and found a left hand foglamp in good condition for only $50.00. $10.00 postage
It pays to put in a bit of effort on the phone.

While we are talking about VR VS Foglamps, when I was at Supercheap Auto the other day I noticed something very interesting???
For those of you just looking for the foglamps who may have a broken lense and already have the left & right bases.
I saw a set of foglamps in there available in white or yellow that looked to be exactly the same size & fitment as the VR VS type. And only $30.00 for the set of two.
Got to be woth considering if you already have the bases??
    Has anyone tried these???

yep, i do, except i got the clear lense ones not the yellow type like pictured above.

they do the job, although there is a big gap inbetween the light lense and the bezel when you install them (the genuine SS have and angled lens).

but hey 30 bux, im not complaining.
