Default WTB: Engine covers for VT V8 5.0L

I'm after a set of the 3 covers from the Aussie block, not the LS1.

These are the covers that slot into each other forming a U across the top of the engine, unlike the VN-VS ones which are 3 separate square pieces.

    Thanks,

they got fibreglass ones on ebay for like $90 delivered ready to paint, these are a one piece one looking like the vt one but fits vn-vs (am getting one soon). Flat and smooth i might get artistic with it lol

Thanks mate, yeah I've seen those ones on ebay too, I want to keep it all original with the "5000 injection" and the mighty Lion ...

Would the fibreglass be OK under there, high temperatures with the bonnet closed?

I don't think you'll find a decent set of standard ones for cheap. Non HSV ones go for more than 250 on ebay.

I had the ASV style fibreglass ones with Airbrushing on them, and it never cracked the paint (and V8s aren't known for their ability to keep cool).
You'll want the SSV style one, which is an exact replica of the VT style covers. The asv one wraps too far down, and covers the oil cap (****in stupid design)

Yes my engine bay needs abit of a tart up.

They look even better with paint on them

Should've mentioned, the guy i got my SSV style ones off, also has some with the HSV symbol where the holden symbol would usually go, if that floats your boat.

Pretty sure the company is called repliglass, and is in QLD. He freighted my 2 to me tho, so location isn't a problem.
