Default Wtb: Vr/vs/vt gts or senator

Wtb: Vr or vs or vt (provided its the holden v8) gts or senator

only real firm position i stand on is it must be a 215i or 220i car only. Rest of options etc i'm fairly easily talked out of.

Manual or auto, not fussed. Don't need sunroof or leather, however wouldn't mind if it had either of them

colour prefence isn't an issue, provided its not ex taxi yellow hsv mock-up. Lol.

Wanted for myself, a mechanic and hence would be going to a very good home alongside my father's car collection, would be looked after shedded and driven once every 2 weeks roughly. Cash sitting there waiting for the right car, let me know of anything you know/heard/seen about please.

Feel free to repost on any other forum for me with my phone number attached, i don't visit many and i know i'm unlikely to have luck here. I'm serious about this car and don't want to muck people about. Will buy in any condition, don't require rwc or rego or it to be running or anything.

yeah, not too many 215i's or 220i's that are even worth mentioning. plus they're usually too dear. few on there now (vs's and vt's) that are over 30k for over 100,000km's. and lets face it, i can buy a vy senator manual with 60,000km for 28k atm. most people are unreasonable. 185's and 195's are everywhere, not what i'm after

if i can't find something soon, i'll buy a vy senator or an aerotop supra or gsxr 1000 or something. just want a nice weekender

Do you still have the SVU 5.0L in bits?

I've found some more CVU prefixed engines in the VQ's - All Caprices. The CVE prefix is for the 5000i VQ Caprices.

The 215 & 220 will have a VL prefix? or is it the VM?

VL is the Harrop 5.7L stroker engine I think.

i don't own the motor anymore, i didn't when i was talking to u last about it either, but it's still only 2 km's down from me at a mates place who bought it off me, still in exactly the same place and way i delivered it, lol. so i can check it out if u have any question's. looks just standard to me, but was definately a vq statesman - not caprice engine.

i honestly don't know the prefix for the harrop 5.7 stroker. i've driven a few and rather enjoyed it. something tells me i'll end up buying a little turbo 4 or 6 cyl import car like a gti-r pulsar to hammer round here. i dunno why, they're not like me one bit.

reading through your info, it seems the s prefix is for statesman, the c for caprice. and the e on the end of cv for enhanced (hsv enhanced, the wording used at the time for the 5000i caprices)

vl must have just been pulled from they're backsides though, but the info you give seems sensible i guess?
