chasing an 80's-90's model 250-350 trail bike for a reasonable price ($400-$1000)
I fix up bikes so it doesnt matter if it needs some tlc just as long as it has compression and starts/rides without much fuss.

1987 Yamaha TT250 , XT250 single cam motor fitted , was running 12 months ago , Excellent tyres , chain and sprocket ok cond , disc front brake ( needs reco but was working ) currently sitting under bike cover $600 and its yours.
Was chasing a motor for it a while ago , head was $250 and barrel was $300 2nd hand!!
Its not what you know or who you know , its how well you can fake it
hey i didnt see your post until today, sweet. if you could see if you can get it to start, even if it runs like crap ill fix it up, as long as it has half decent compression.
Anything else out of the ordinary or can it be riden? not road regustered just as a trail bike.
it would only need fuel to run i think. I was riding it up and down the driveway , compression seemed ok ( wasnt easy to kick over ) , puffed a bit of smoke ( nothing drastic tho ) , but it went. If your super keen , i can see about getting it started , but im not gunna waste time on trying.. only throw some juice in it and kick it a few times , oh , it is missing the rear pipe ( muffler )

TT's were good bikes, even if it's got a XT motor now the bike itself was quite capable enduro bike (much better than what you ride now)
