WTB[SA]: 2007 VE Calais 6L

ITEM: I'm chasing a 2007 VE Calais 6L either Evoke (preferable) or Red Passion with full black leather and under 40k on the clock.

LOCATION: SA is preferable although happy to pay for transport.

PAYMENT: Will be bank cheque and don't want to spend more than $36k (firm).

It's a long shot but thought I would put it out there, purchase will be immediate and no hassles on my part.

If you do come across something by all means flick me a quick PM with the contact details, I am looking on the usual car sale sites daily so no point pointing anything out on there.

U can find plenty on the usual car sites, carsales, carpoint etc, this is what i found after a 2minute look, heaps a bargains around so search hard

Evoke (tick), full black leather (zip), both mentioned are only partial leather which most appear to be.

The 2nd one I took for a drive last month, lovely to drive and what not, in perfect condition, only thing missing is full leather which I'm not willing to give up.

There is 1 in Victoria which is Provence but I don't know whether I'm keen on the colour.

The absolute maximum is $36k, by the time you factor in stamp duty (~$1300) and insurance (~$800) it gets up there in the price range.

yeah true the full leather option seems alot harder to get, dno if ur willing to trade in? but u always seem to get **** all value for ur car

This is one I had been looking at but not sure about the colour. Can't say I've looked at one here in the flesh which is the same colour.

Your best bet is to scour auction catalogues online until you find one, the last auction I went to not long ago, Manheim Fowles in Altona, there were a couple of V8 VE Calais's with around 40k on the clock, sold at $27000 (2007 model) and the other one went for $31000 (2008 model). Pretty sure they had full leather, and one was in that Evoke colour you want. Of course theres no reg or rwc, but you would still be saving money even after covering for that.

Cheers guys I found one, it should be here hopefully Tuesday / Wednesday this week, pending viewing and driving although really how much could be wrong with a car which is 15 months old?

It ended up being a smidge over $36k when you add stamp duty and transfer so fits the budget nicely.

what could be wrong with a car 15 months old?
- sagged leather
- the moving parts around the dash jam
- cruise control stick things jam
- leaks
- rattles
- middle speaker rattles like hell
- diff = ****ed
- trans = same as diff
- parts and panels dont line up
- elec seats dont respond
- big screen wont turn on
- chronic MRC issues
- Chronic warning light issues

umm now those issues come from the factory, so im not sure what would start to happen after 15 months. And no im not canning the VE. I love mine, but they do have a few little issues
