Default WTB: bits for carputer. (new/used)

    G'day.
Wanna build a carputer, I need screen, mobo, power supply etc etc.

I have an abundance of laptop parts if someone wants to trade.

    Cash paid otherwise.

    Am open to suggestions/ideas.

Screen can be touch or not, not bothered can use mouse or keyboard. I'm thinking about 10 inches or smaller so I can mount it on the drivers side a pillar.

I'm not too sure what to use to keep the voltage up on startup of vehicle.

mounting a screen on the drivers side pillar will become a massive blind spot and a distraction. Not only that but you may get defected. I have heard that people have been defected for mating gauges on their Drivers side pillar, i cant see this being much different.
Maybe mount it down on the center console, like the police mount MDT or something

start there for getting some info.

10" is huge, especially on the a pillar. good luck with that.

id check out ebay for parts, lilliput and xenarc are the best screenwise. motherboards can range from using a spare p4 mobo to a VIA pico-itx.

really do some research on what you want to use it for(gps, movies, dvd, music, etc) before shelling out on parts.
