WTB battery

hey people, just wondering if anyone in sa has a battery thats in working order i could use and pay for on thursday, would like to know asap if anyone has one and if they would be kind enough for me to use asap and pay for on thursday (my pay day).
it will be used in a sigma but would prefer a 6cyl one so i can use it for my commodore when its fixed, any help would be much appreciated

Do you have a car you can jump the siggy off to get it running. The alternator should run it once its going. I wouldnt do a round trip of Aus but it'll get you to work

no i dont i got a jumper pack but it wont let it jump start, but if i use someone elses car it will jump start and be fine, but now no longer holding charge, the battery light doesnt come on to say alternater not charging, n my job require driving all the time haha pizza deliveries (stop start) it was fine all night then i moved into car park came out 5mins later turn key boom, nothing happened, jumpsterted it and she was fine, bright lights nothing dulling, then i drove around for a bit came home switched off, go to start straight away, boom nothing again

If you havnt done it already. Pull your terminals off and pour a little hot water on them to clean them up and check where the wire goes into the terminal lug looks ok, got caught out with that once. And is the water level ok in it, if not top it up to just over the elements

If the battery is that shagged you might see one dead cell in it. It looks really black and ugly when you look at it, where as the others will usually look clean and you can see the element.

thannks for your help i took battery out and put it in commodore and started straight away, i think its the starter motor shagged on the old siggy, as when i jump start it, its fine so i think its pulling too much power for it too handle on a 6cyl battery

edit: starts straight away with out jump start on commodore

now i put sigma on ramps and now starts straight away, so i now know what problem is, it has something to do with starter motor so will now save up n get a starter motor thanks for help

also check the brushes on the alternator may be dead and not charging the battery.
