05 VZ Exec Power Antenna

I recently bought a VZ Executive and wouldn't you know it about 2 weeks after the warranty runs out the Electric antenna snapped off (Either wear and tear or some punk kid (it had been sticking up a little bit)) what i was wondering was, I prefer the look of the car without the anternna sticking up even when the radio is on, Is there something i can do to get the radio clarity without putting a whole new antenna on as i dont want it sticking out.

I guess you could have a couple of options...you could leave it in the down position and install a signal booster....lame.

You could shave the antenna off completly (remove antenna, cover hole and repaint said area) and then use a glass mounted powered antenna....cool but costly.

Replace the antenna and deal with it going up and down....obvious choice

Remove antenna and replace it with a regular non retractable whip....cheap
