Really nice car man, I'm gunna get A VY Berlina with the leather seats then do the calais garnish and lights, reflecters etc.

Where did you get them? From Holden?

And how much is a chrome strip down the side going to cost you? Or you gunna try find a wrecked calais maybe?

You going to see your ute and get a Berlina?

But yea dude they are nice cars.. Poor Mans Calais FTW....

Yea all holden dude. Reflectors are like 100 for everything u need, lights just keep i eye out.. i got mine for $140(SCORE), but they go new on eBay for like $365, but i saw a pair on there for $120 other day...

Chrome door moulds i just used the same industrial chrome contact that i used for the door handles.. (I literally just finished doing them, but its to dark for pics, so ill post some tomorrow)


So that gives away my update i was going to post... DIY Chrome door moulds now Done

Looks higher then it was.. Was 96mm at lowest point in Park...

Haha are the handles easy to take off ? I've never even looked at how to take them off but they can't be that hard lol.

And yeah, as of 2 hours ago i sold my ute, will be heading out in a week so i'm looking at a VY Berlina (that darkish red, i know what colour it's called i just forgotten) with cream leather right through for like $9500. Not too bad.

Then up with the mods and st00f. So $140 was garnish + lights? Or both seperate.

$100 for the garnish.. About $365 for brand new VZ calais lights...

IF its the colour im thinking... I reckon S2 VY Calais lights would look good on it, if not better..

The contact ive done to the handles is just a sticker, so left them on the doors when i put it on. Very Easy to take off!

Yeah, the red is OHH SHANGHAI RED! Looks real nice, i want the chrome strip and handles because chrome goes really well with it. Either that colour or your blue

As for the leather heating up, just put like 20% tint or something to keep it cooled.. hopefully.

Yea im in two minds about going darker on the tint, as im considering venetains. haha..

Thats a nice car dude.. Pretty much identical to mine spec wise. Leather, S1, 17xxxxkm... Will be happy with it

Cheers dude, super happy with it.

Got it from the local sign writing shop. Went in and asked if he had chrome style contact. His said he would get me a off cut, and came back with a nice big sheet of it.. Used it for the door handles, and the side moulds.. Need it to be at least 1.3m long as the front door part are just under that. Mine was exactly 1.3m
Then I cut 6cm thick strips of it to give me plenty of room to work with, then laided it down and trimmed to suit with a knife. About 20mins a door. More if you dont have experience with the stuff..

One thing i am considering, is getting 2 Berlina boot badges and putting them above the door moulds, like the Calais... Thoughts?

Mint job with the chrome, it looks a lil funny though how you got your nice rim then the chrome strip leads to this.. uhh 15" lol.

The chrome is pretty awesome tho . Maybe i'll do it aswell since i sold my car last night (Y).

I was going to do something like that also, but i wouldn't have berlina i'd have my custom plate on the side. I'm still supprised it's not taken, but I won't give it out just incase .
