I'd like to know what sort of timing curves that are being ran with my L98 motor with a set of basic mods Full Exhaust and OTR?

Timing is a huge power changer along with Fuel Ratio right?

When dyno tunes are performed what is actually being fine tuned the AFR's or the Timing? or both

Do tuners just stick to a timing curve that they have developed from previous cars with the same mods and tune from there or are they constantly changing it because of the engines response?

Thanks

seems the 20-24 deg maby more WOT is around what u can get stock with boltons sure u can throw a little more fuel in and go further but no point IMO, main gain u get is leaning the stock PE AFR back to 12.8 ish which helps alot, timing all depends on what u are doing there is no curve per say there is a rpm scale and cylinder airmass and your timing for each value met (then adders or retard from other tables) the stock timing is pretty good and u wont be getting massive gains from going further unless u have a cam or more engine work, this is the standard LS2 timing table below

not sure its too small to make out what to look for and im use to looking at different data or same data differently, only way to get accurate timing if u want to increase it is on a dyno just increase it to max torque and stop there or go back a couple, waiting for it to knock is just a sign its too far not that its making max power just before knock, are u able to do a graph with rpm/timing/cyl airmass only ?
