Hey Rob,

This ones probly been bought up heaps, but I could never find a straight answer.

My cars a manual 6. Wen I change gears, the revs kick up a little (couple hundred rpm)
this shits to no end. Only way I've figured out to beat this is, wen i go to change gear, take my foot off the accelerator, put in the clutch, hold it for a few seconds then release it, obviously changing gears in between.

Is there any way to fix this?
I've been told its to do with the flywheel being a dual mass jobbie??

Cheers mate!!

Sounds like how I was taught to drive a manual???
Once the clutch goes in it is free reving, there for if you dont take your foot off the accelerator a little prior to clutching, the revs will increase.

Yeh funny that mate. . . . but every other manual I've driven doesnt do this.

So I though Id ask some1 who could give a little PROPER advice on the issue.

Thanks for your input though. . . . .

I was being dead serious, both my dad and drving instructor taught me to drive that way, just had'nt heard of ppl not easing up on the accelerater between shifts.

If I wasn't clear b4 I meant I normally do take my foot off b4 I put the clutch in.
But I have to over compensate wen I do it now. Literally!
