ive seen a picture of sumone who had black holden badges
how would you need to paint them like how many coats etc and would you need to sand it down or sumthing how do you get the badge off of the front ?
and if you get the badge off the back how do you stick it back?

sorry for so many questions just i have no idea

That's me!

OK ... so the first step is to remove them ... get some fishing line and gardening gloves ... put on the gloves, wrap some fishing line around your fingers on each hand and pull the middle line behind the badge slowly.

The badge in the front grill is clipped in... wrap some electrical tape around a medium side flat screw driver and gently push it behind the badge. The tape reduces the chance of damaging the badge.

Once off you can clean up the area behind the stick on badges with some prepsol and Macguires paint cleaner.

Scuff the badges lightly with some 1200 wet and dry to remove the shine of the plastic chrome. Wipe them down with some prepsol and allow to dry.

Then spray some plastic primer on them according to instructions.

Then spray a few thin coats of charcoal grey or satin black.

Let them cure for 24 hrs and reattach using some "sticker flex" which is a non acetone based adhesive that you can get from an automotive paint supplier.

Done!

Oh ... one last tip ... cut some electrical tape or masking tape the exact length of each badge and stick them directly underneath each one. This will provide your position to relocate them.
