Can you program your kmh's into the LCD on the calais dash ??

Your local Holden dealer could do it for you or a Dash Repairer can do it. You will probably have to provide evidence of the Km's you want the LCD set to though. ( your old dash or recent service receipt perhaps ).

I got a level 2 cluster last week. The taco seemed to move freely but i plugged it in and its really sticky, as in when you rev the car, the only way it goes up if you tap it etc.

I took it out again, and moved the cluster around and the needle moved freely (no bumping required). The mostlikely cause of sticky guages i beleive is a connection problem. Im gonna have a go at cleaning the connection points and see if it makes a difference.

If you have a series 1 car you can put a level 3 cluster straight in, anything else (VN SII-VS) you have to add the loom from a higher spec car. Also you must get a dash from a V6 if thats what you have. Sticking gauges are a problem, I used a dry lubricant on my VN Cal and had no problems or stick to the wacking on the dash.

Err, no, that's not the case. I have a 8/88 VN Exec sitting out in the barn that has a VIN number within the first 2000 built, and it doesn't have the calais spec loom needed to run the L3 cluster.

Only the Calais, and some VN HSV cars scored the additional wiring needed for the L3 conversion.
