Anyone know if a v6 driveshaft is the same as a v8 in a vx automatic? Looking for a replacement but all I seem to come across are listed as v6 shafts.

Cheers

Had a look in the Holden VT/VX service manual. The auto driveshafts have a different identification but there is no info on whether the construction is different. Refer to the attached.

The diameter of the rubber doughnuts are different between V6 and V8 so no, the V6 and V8 drive shafts aren't interchangeable.
