Hey there people,

Have a question about my front left Rockford fosgate P-16s component speaker.
I haven’t been listening 2 music much and mainly radio with volume down, one day I noticed it was randomly much quieter than normal finding out my front left speaker and tweeter was not working and the others were fine. All speakers amped off a pioneer 1000w amp. I checked all wires and all were good. I then took out the speakers and tested with DMM for resistance (4ohms), tweeter itself good, then tried speaker terminals both tweeter connection and speaker connection. Tweeter side was like 0.9ohms so gone and the speaker side nothing so therefore speaker itself gone. I looked over it for any moisture and all dry then I noticed on the edge of the spider/suspension, there was looks to be a small connection type thing poking up from under the suspension and something else that I have no way of description. Refer to pics below. I have never seen anything like this so I do not know what it is or what could have caused it at all. Some sort of inlight would be amazing please and thank you
