i heard from an ex holden tech that with the fuel pumps in the comodores since they sit in the fuel tank you shouldnt run the fuel tank right down to nothing because the fuel pump will run dry instead of being lubricated by the petrol in the tank. he said that u shouldnt run below a quarter tank.

There was a recall on the fuel pump sender units or MRA . VX-VY
To remove the pump the tank must be removed .
It take around 2 hour to remove and replace the MRA

Glad im not paying your labour bill.

three bolts on the straps holding the tank in place, remove fuel cap, remove hoses.

drop tank gently tap the top of the fuel tank where the pump is remove carefully undo hoses, and clips, remove pump, install new pump conect it up put back in tank, connect hoses put tank in place do up 3 bolts.

hour tops, just make sure that you have about 1/4 of a tank in it for balast.
