Contact cleaner did not work. Sigh. Tried on the holder and a bit on the contacts inside the headlight. sprayed some on finger and rubbed it around the hole...... (yes I know how that sounds).

Bits and pieces starting to arrive this week.

    Optima D35 battery - Arrived
    [IMG][IMG]
    KYB Rear Shocks - Arrived
Spark plugs and leads - ETA Wednesday

That 20% off at supercheap was well timed! Picked up some consumables like air filter cleaner, contact cleaner and some anti-seize. They didn't have the air filter I needed so missed out on that. Seriously thought about grabbing as many oil filters I could get but they had ran out of the Z160s.

Hopefully the weather holds up and I can do the plugs and shocks this weekend. Might even give it a clean and take some pictures as it's been awhile since I've taken one and there needs to be an updated one on here without the tint.

Edit: Quick sneaky one as I closed the garage after changing battery over:

    But seriously.....Bugger!

You may need to source a broken headlight with all the bits. Good to see you scored from Supercheap.

Alright, did the shocks today. Wow that top bolt was a bitch to get undone....

Height difference, not much but still noticeable. Quite nice to drive on... Less clunks/squeeks coming from the rear at slow speeds around corners.

And no more damn sound of crate filled with glass bottles in the back from the sleeve clanging and banging, can't make the sleeve touch the on the new ones....

Took these two pictures here because I cannot find anywhere on the internet a picture of the strut top for the rear of a ute, or how to remove it with pictures. So here is the rear shock absorber strut for a vz ute.

Well weather allowed me to give it a polish+wax. So here is the best I can get it to look without tint :(

    I miss my 5% tint.

Haha, I know. I was sitting there this morning re-doing the Plastidip on the badges just staring at the colour. It never gets old.

I stupidly felt lazy yesterday, and used an auto car wash. Now one of my headlights look like this:

Help! I have taken the caps off the back of the globes to let some air in, but that water has been in there for 24+ hours now, thought having them in the sun today would clear it up. I was wrong. Anything I can do short of pulling the headlight out and wiping inside?

Hey mate I think you can take the lenses off just gently pull back those plastic clips that are around it. Will have to take the headlight out though. If it's glued in too don't go reefing on it with a screw driver or something. I've been down that road and you'll probably crack the lense haha.

Nice ute btw mate. Nothing like a 6lt vz hey? Lol

And stay away from those car washed man those stupid big wheely things put micro swirls in your paint.

Yeah good call tray might be worth a shot before you go pulling your car apart haha. Just don't hold it too close.
