[253] gearbox chnage

I was considering buying a HQ - HZ or maybe a Pre 1984 commodore V8, but it is just about impossible to find one in manual. Is it an expensive process to convert an auto to a manual? I wont be able to any of the work myself, I dont have the skills for that. but I have seen some nice ones around for 3 - 4 grand, but in auto,,

Or would it be worth just hanging out until I find a decent manaul to save me the hassal
