that reminds me some dog keeps crapping in my car every few months and now it's just getting out of hand. i should really just spend some money and clean that crap out. i've still only got 300wRMS of crap in my boot and god knows how much i've spent on crap that doesn't work / doesn't work as good as i thought.

You can tell me all you want but it doesn't make it true. By your cone area theory a 50 watt 6" speaker will be just as loud as a 200 watt 6" speaker since they both have the same cone area and all.

I am aware that efficiency/sensitivity matters...

how is a pair of 90db speakers, rated at 400watts (total), going to be louder than eight similarly efficient speakers, getting 800watts total?

the only difference is, the speakers you've shown me will sound better, and cost 4 times as much!!!

my 12kw+ amplifier should be here this week.

Would you consider 8" components if I could provide you with something that could run @ 400rms per side?

Theres a 6.5" set of splits that will do around 400rms but it would be extremely difficult to get them in at the moment.

Oh and what amp are you running for those subs?

personally i would of thought any decent 3 way front stage would go louder and sound better than what you have done
