Haven't been on in a while but have a few updates.

I covered the parcel shelf in sound deadener. The stuff I was using is Focal BAM. It is a little lighter than dynamat but has a foam lay on the top, perfect for vibrations in the trim.

Here a few pictures...

nice, i bet that sht was expensive?

soo you hear no rattle from the parcel shelf now?

It wasn't too expensive. It was about 20 bucks more for the same amount of dynamat. I think I paid 170 or 180 for the lot and had heaps left over.

The difference was amazing when I first put it on. It completely got rid of that fluttering sound the parcel shelf makes when the trim hits the metal. I have only recently noticed another vibration noise but I believe it is the parcel shelf trim hitting the back window in the left corner. But that isn't too bad.

The sub enclosures are custom made. They were about 500 each and were done up by the guys at BDL Car Stereo down here.

Thanks SVTato, I quite like it too.

Recently I replaced my spoiler with a bobtail. Here are a few pictures...

You just used cling wrap to do the marble effect?

Nah, I did a practice run with cling wrap and it didn't come out real well. The paint went all sticky on the cling wrap and didn't come off clean. I just used pieces of plastic that I had around.

I picked up the bobtail off fibre_enhancement on ebay, eBay My World - fibre_enhancement, It is pretty good for a fiberglass product. The sides are a little thin but the fiberglass is pretty thick through the middle.

I changed the rest of the interior lights recently. I went blue for all of them except the map lights which was a bright white.

Here is a comparison of before and after.

I was a little worried that they were not going to be bright enough but with the floor lighting there is more than enough light in the cabin.
