hitting the 4k rev limiter

Hey guys,
I have a VZ SV6, and everyone knows about the 4,000rpm rev limiter when your in neutral/park.
I was just wondering if its bad for the engine to hit the 4k limiter? I dont do it often, it just sounds good from the exhaust when it makes that back firey limiter sound.
Just so i dont destroy my car was just wondering if its bad for it or if it doesnt matter?

That's y it has a limiter so u don't destroy the engine.
IMO, I wouldn't do it at all, it's just putting un necessary wear and tear on the engine.
What u r doing is usually reserved for mechanics who know what they are doing. But I don't think
they would even rev it so hard unless it was absolutely necessary.
But that's just me. Others might have different opinions.

Any Amount of Revving to a engine is bad, Just depends how hard you rev it is how long your engine will last.

ok... jeez it was just a mutual question i don't need everyone attacked me and being heaps condescending...
Its not like i drive around everywhere sitting on the rev limiter. or sit there showing off to all my buddies reving each others engines to see who's loudest.. i'm not a retard.. i might touch 4k once a month maybe..
and to those who think the back fire or revving isn't a good sound.. everyone has their own opinion some people don't even like the exhaust sound. so everyone's different you don't have to go and judge me.

This is one of the reasons i don't like asking questions on this forum because the majority of the people on here are so damn arrogant..

No one is judging you mate. We all here love our commodores and we don't want to see anything happen to them.
You did ask if it was ok to rev to 4k and grant you some answers were a bit opinionated. Please don't take it so hard.
I gave my advice as not a good idea and I stand by that. Like you said, everyone's got their own opinion of sound and if
you like the sound of your car, that's all that matters. Stuff the rest.
I do agree with you that some people on here have attitude problems.
If I came across as attacking you and/or condescending I appologise.
