Looks like the Torana and Sandman could be making a comeback in the near future. GM has just re-registered the trademark names.

I could have told you months ago that Holden were bringing back the Torana, mate of mine works for them in the planning department. For Torana to work, it is going to have to be built off a completely new platform and designed and built here in aus. As for where it will fit it may replace the vectra as sales have been poor due to over pricing and huge competition in that market ie Mazda 6. I think alot of people would rather see it as a seperate identity from the commodore, ie can't have too much of a resemblance to it. Just my thoughts to the issue.

As for Sandman, well its pretty much back anyway if you want the HBD kit, have seen a few on the roads down here in Melbourne.

It will take a lot to replicate the impact that the mighty torana had in the 70's for us old blokes and to have the raw power of my other motorcar my genuine march 17 green xu1.

I heard a while back about a new torana, thought it was just a rumor. Now can't wait!
