Just wondering when jacking up a Commodore in the workshop is it non damaging to place the trolley jack under the differential centre housing.

I did that and then put it in stands when changing the fuel pump. Was assured it was ok and it was.
Also saw my tuner years ago jack up a VU that way.

I always jack up the rear by placing the jack under the diff. Then put some jack stands under the rear subframe mounting points and lower car onto the stands.

Thanks guys, that's how we do it to but having just replaced the chassis cradle bushes and the differential housing mount I didn't want to get damaging it.
