[NSW] Interior lights stay on

Hey guys, have a problem with my wh statesman interior lights staying on. I had a problem with the srs light on the dash staying on and changed the sensor under the centre console, fixed the srs light problem but ever since the only way to turn the interior lights off is to pull the fuse. If i insert the key and turn to on the lights go out only to come back on but also the bcm at the same time sounds like its trying to unlock the doors as well. Im wondering if the airbag sensor i got may have been involved in an accident and may be telling the bcm to unlock the car and leave the lights on. Does anyone know more about the sensors and bcm in an accident as this has only occured after changing the sensor.
Any help would be awesome as i've been reading heaps on forums to no prevale....
