Well, another update.

While I'm waiting for my pulley kit (it's somewhere out there, two days late for arrival) and my AC belt, I had an early Father's Day gift arrive today.

Before:

After:

A few dings from transit but I've already straightened them out. I quite like the look with 35% back tint, however I'll do the doors at 17 or 20% now in the next couple of weeks.

Also cleaned the OTR K&N filter and gave it an oil. Found quite a lot of bugs and that trapped. Good job little air filter you...

Clean filter:

Oiled filter:

Till next time.

Update time!

So these arrived today...

Main belt tensioner pulley:
15mm socket head - RH thread.

Main belt idler pulley:
15mm socket head - RH thread. I used the supplied bolt on this one.

AC belt tensioner pulley:
15mm socket head - RH thread.

AC belt idler pulley:
T50 torx in hex socket - RH thread.

So because I have the Powerbond 25% underdriven balancer (PBU1480-SS25) fitted, I needed the shorter belts.

I chose the Continental Elites (Goodyear Gatorback) in the sizes 6PK1930 for main and 4PK1015 for AC to suit. A normal LS1/2 would have 6PK1995 and 4PK1100 fitted standard.

Part numbers for Goodyear Gatorback belts:
4060785 - 6PK1995 Standard main
4060760 - 6PK1930 Underdriven main
4040433 - 4PK1100 Standard AC
4040400 - 4PK1015 Underdriven AC

Part numbers for Nuline pulley kit:
Main tensioner - EP026
Main idler - EP024
AC tensioner/idler - EP025 - qty x 2

Part numbers genuine GMH for the other stuff I did:
LS2 crankshaft bolt GM - 12557840
AC tensioner w/ plastic pulley - 12560345
Main belt tensioner w/ - 92111701

Thanks for looking.

The belt is different depending on year. The belt on mine is 1970 long.

Another small update...

Got a VE/VF HSV flag badge! There was always something missing for me on the boot, so I did a bit of research on badges and decided the HSV flag will fit it nicely!

Back for a little update. Not much happening lately, just the usual daily drive stuff and detailing on the weekend. Starting to get a stash of detailing products again, so will really get into once I have everything I want.

Replaced the scrivets for the infill panel as the old ones had stripped heads and I couldn't get them out. Made the repairs the other fortnight a nuisance.

Infill panel scrivet part number:
GM-92138218

And also glued back down the roof lining on the edges to the windscreen as it was coming down a little bit in places. I think due to having my sunshade up all the time. Easy fixes and just petty stuff until I do my next parts run/upgrade. Stay tuned for more.

Update.

Ordered an Elite Engineering catch can, should be here next week. eBay had that 15% off Spring sale, so I made the most of it.

Also my car care product stash is building, just have to save a time to fully detail the Clubby.

Other than that, fuel economy is getting better and better the more I drive it. So proud to be a HSV owner.

You won't go wrong with the Elite, easy to fit and plumb into the LS2.
I do my oil changes every 5K which is around 7-9 months driving for me and there is usually about 10-15mm of oil in the bottom of the catch can.
If you can be bothered it would be a good idea to clean the inside of your inlet manifold before fitting the can.
Unfortunately that involves removing the inlet manifold.
