Anything that has to go into a headlight is going to completely bugger the headlight. They will have to go in via the dust seal and that will never seal properly again. The lens will deteriorate.
Any headlight “upgrade” can be done with plug and play options without ruining the whole headlamp long term. LED now just replace the factory bulb. There are after market dust seals available to allow LED fitment. Even HID has an easy plug and play option with the ballast fitting in place of the dust seal.
If it is for Spotlights, wiring should be accessed externally of the headlamp.
