No start

I'm just wondering is it normal for the car not to start if I press the throttle pedal down flat I've never tried this before new to me ...VX L36 auto

Putting your foot flat to the floor and cranking is flood clearing IIRC, I believe it stops fuel from being injection so no it shouldn't start. There is probably something in the owners handbook about it.
