oil/check engine- VE/SSV 2012

Hi,
My check engine light and low oil pressure light came on today on my 2012 VE SSV today. The oil pressure regulator got replaced a month ago but I was told today that it is either the oil pump that will need to be replaced or something bigger. Has anyone had these issues with oil pump?

Sorry might have got the terminology wrong, might be an oil pressure gauge.
Car is a VE SSV not sure if it is L76 or L77???

May I suggest you get hold of some with a Decent Scan Tool, and do some live tests !
Live Oil pressure test, that will indicate what is happening.

The car is serviced at an official Holden dealership so I assume they have a decent scan tool hopefully shall I ask them if they have done a live oil pressure test and if so what sort of pressure levels would indicate everything is ok? Not sure what I’m asking. Thanks

Engine Type will be indicated on the Build Plate up behind the Air intake Air Box,

The "ENG: ???" is a little hidden.

Thanks heaps I’ve read your forum post and this helps heaps. I’m in Regional Victoria over 200km’s from Melbourne so will have to stay put and do some digging.
