VE Series I SS Ute
The Outlander and ASX are both good reliable vehicles that are cheap to run and have a little extra height to get in and out of. With our Outlander we have had five years of trouble free motoring, the Mother in-laws ASX same and they have had that around six years. Just need to service the trans at every 65k and not 150k or whatever the books say.

Looking at the ASX they have a 10 year warranty and capped price service offer at the moment. GSR one looks decent, need to actually see one first though.
Also had a look at an x trail and that wasn’t too bad either, both folks able to get in and out far easier than any other car we have.

ASX build quality is average, I would also be looking at a Hyundai Tucson

For a new car at that coin I’m not expecting a great deal.
Tucson base model is 5k more.

Use a broker to find your next car

Although it will still be awhile until we catch up with vehicle imports, which limits current supply, brokers rule when there's a good supply

You never know though, you could be lucky and they find a pre sale that fell through

What is leaning me to those choices is I may be eligible for employee pricing on new for Mitsubishi and Nissan, or pretty good deals on trade ins there. Just have to wait and see.
