When driving my drivers side window slightly drops just enough to rattle. If i raise it it stops or lower just a toucn it stops. I have removed door skin and investigated, have found nothing loose or broken. Could the motor be backing off slightly? As any one knows removing window motors are a nightmare to replace. Any clues anyone? Cheers.

I have experienced regulator failure on a VR. Replacement wasnt difficult but its held in with large rivets which need to be drilled out. Your problem will most likely be wear in the regulator teeth. I'm guessing there is one point on the sector gear that has worn excessively and it permits extra movement when the window is at a certain possition.
