Yep, stilsons are good. If all else fails tack weld a nut on the plug to get it off.
i had the same problem on my vy...i found welding a nut onto the existing sump nut was the easiest way :)
make sure ya dont earth out the welder near anything electronic on the car tho..

Use a hammer and chisel, hit it anti clockwise and it will come off. Do not go hitting a drill bit with a hammer if you dont want bits of drill in you skin. Do not smash a socket on it as you will most probably crack the sump as its only think cast aluminium.

Doubt vice grips or stillsons will get it off either. It needs a quick sharp tap to crack it.

Just think about it. How tight is it on there if the last owner rounded the head off???? Bloody tight.

It could be loose as a goose. I've seen wallies round of loose nuts by using the wrong tools. Once they're rounded they might as well be welded in though.

You could also use a dremel or similar tool to flatten off 2 sides of it so you can get the vice grips onto it.

Thats a good idea ,or grind the sides down so you can fit a spanner on . If the vice grips slip then your back where you started

Vice grips or Stilsons would be just about guarenteed to work, it can't be THAT tight or it would have just stripped the thread.

Vice grips slip and you bash your hand. Stilsons are the way to go.

get the smaller size down socket and hammer it on. Or use a single hex socket of the same size instead. If that fails, use a pair of vicegrips and squeeze the tits off the c*nt.
