INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SURROUND PANEL SWITCHES AND SPEED ALERT DEVICE.

1 ) if fitted release the steering column adjusting lever,
slide the column outwards and position it at the lowest setting. lock the lever in that position.

2 ) on models with columnshift transmission follow the relevant operations under the combination switch heading to remove the upper steering column cover.

3 ) remove the instrument cluster surround panel retaining screws

4 )carefully disengage the retaining clips and partially withdraw the panel

5 )disconnect the wiring connectors and carefully withdraw the panel, ensuring that the lower edge of the instument cluster surround paneldoes not get damaged on any part of the steering column.

6 )depress the retaining lugs at the rear of the appropriate switch and remove the switch from the front of the panel.

7 )remove the headlamp witch as follows:
a ) carefully pull the outer knob and the inner rheostat ring from the switch.

b ) using a suitable tool or long nosed pliers, turn the switch retaining bezel anticlockwise and withdraw the switch from the instrument cluster surround panel.

installation is a reversal of the removal procedure.

the end thats all the book has on it hope it helps
