I've looked all over this forum and I can't find one thread on coilovers, Spring rates, sway bars and other components for a good handling car? Are we not supposed to go around corners?
I'd probably look at HSD or BC as they seem to be the easiest to get different spring rates for and are fairly cheap. They've both been popular choices for imports for years.
Tein maybe, but if you buy lower spec Teins they will pretty much be on par with the HSDs and BCs (only the really expensive Teins are made in Japan).
Dirt racing??? Why would I want info on that? All I'm chasing is what Spring rates some guys run that actually drive their car at a track event? And then what brand it may be. I have no Intrest in 'how low' my car is.
I used to own an evo, their spring rate has no relevance to a commodore.
Thanks, I did come across this but the info wasn't great. It's crazy to me how we have such a big Holden presence in Motorsport in Australian yet nobody sets their car up great or does the occasional track days. 2L jap cars have it covered.
Yeah sorry, no idea where the dirt track came from :hmmm:
But as you'll have noted this is more of a regular forum that doesn't have much motor sport content (other than a bit of 1/4 mile action for bragging rights) so my comment stands unfortunately
Maybe try and contact someone who's involved with the V8 Ute's racing and find out what they are using as it's a control item (I believe) so nothing to secret going on there.
