I have a Sv6 2006 commodore with no engine but can buy one for 2k and was wondering how much it would cost to fit the engine

Fit yourself, or pay a shop?
Assuming transmission is good? All wiring and ECU are still there?
Exact same motor as what came out?

What engine was in it (listed on the compliance plate) ?

What engine are you going to fit ?

As mentioned above @Deuce, is the original ECU still with the car ?

If not, the replacement engine (with its ECU) will need to be linked to the BCM, otherwise it won't start.
