Hi guys, just wanted to find out if you need to do a re-tune after changing headers,I've fitted an xforce 2.5 cat back system & got some speed master extractors to fit, keep getting told I'll have to re-tune after fitting, also should I wait & get high flow cats to complete,

Seems a bit hit miss, I fitted pacemaker and high flow cats to my Ve V6 Berlina dual fuel and all good

I was lucky enough to get a VF2 SS in feb

Even lucker I got a KPM strretfighter exhaust cheap of gumtree, with the bimodal system just sitting there I swapped my afm V8 mufflers over to the bimodal mufflers(with out electrics plugged up they seem to be open all the time) on my 12/09 VE berlina dual fuel. Fitted twin system years ago

Anyway sounds alright for a alloytec nice burble on startup and ok driving. Light throttle great/ Full throttle nice middle throttle sounds a bit average.

I do have pacemaker and high flow cats aswell so might make a difference

The Vf tips sit out a little more otherwise straight fit

I've had a 2.5" cat back system with centre muffler , then j pipes and quad tips put on my 2010 omega. Mild steel. Sounds awesome , but bit loud on cold start. Bugger all drone. Sounds awesome on acceleration , then once you get up to steady speed you hear bigger all. Sounds awesome .on decelaration. Got mine done for $950 in Morley.

You seem determined to get one so why not just go and buy it then you can tell everyone how bad they are too. There is a reason why everyone is telling you xforce make poorly fitting, poor quality, poor sounding exhausts but you keep asking anyway. Just buy the system, then you'll know why they are so hated. Seems the only way to learn is by mistake.

Haha bro I'm asking a system specific question on people's thoughts and experiences and why you think they are bad, cause one of my mates has a 2.5 and to me it sounded pretty good, so I wanna know the pros and cons specific to the system

Ask someone at the exhaust shop if they have the same car with the exhaust , and will they let you listen to it.

I took your advice last year with my LX6 and did a factory V8 system with rear delete as shown in the pics below

Really happy, sounds great, cost me nothing to do as I had the old system I took off my LX8 ... I'm sure its the twin all the way out that makes the difference...

I've heard a 2.5 in a wm and I thought it sounded awesome and I heard that in the Utes they tend to not drone as much as the sedans cause with the sedans they have the plastic boot floor

I am replacing my rear mufflers with 2 1/2" tail pipes with hot dogs from VEOnline. (Going on a SV6 VES2) What are people's experiences with these, and how likely am I to get pulled over and a** raped for them by the police?

Your ears will probably be rapped by the drone before your other body parts.

Would having J pipes in addition to the hot dogs help eliminate that drone?

After reading the reply above I decided to message VEOnline and check if these are adjusted for V6 or V8 drone. I've heard just the 2 1/2 hot dogs with the j pipes from the on a mate of mines series 1 SV6, and the drone wasn't too bad except around 3500 revs. But these have the J pipes as well...

    Does anyone actually have these?
