The oil is harder to change than Superman in a port-a-loo… until you know how. Here it is.


I did changed all fluids when I purchased mine last year,
Front Diff,
Transfer Case & Rear Diff.
Where as I bought a 5 litre pack and a TomThumb pump bottle,
Much easier that the squeeze pack.

I did diffs and transfer case when I bought mine at 85Km and again at 128Km.
Easy as .......... took it to a 4WD mob and let them do it ......... $120. Yeah, I know, I cheated.

It was while talking to them that I found out that the local Holden dealers didn't service the AWD models, they outsourced them to the place that I went to. Made sense to me as Holden didn't know the difference between a Cross6 and a Rodeo.

this is why it is so important to use correct oil, there is an internal oil pump
What the heck is that chain doing in there? Never knew transfer cars had chains..

i assumed it was just gears
but apparently not
